What Happens After We Receive a Counter Notice

  • We forward the counter notice to the original complainant.
  • Unless we receive notice that the complainant has filed a legal action seeking to restrain the challenged activity, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days after forwarding the counter notice.

Repeat Infringement

We may, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the ability to submit or post content and/or close accounts of repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to remove any content alleged to infringe at our discretion.

Misuse of the Process

Knowingly submitting false or misleading notices or counter notices may have legal consequences. Please ensure you have the rights necessary before filing.

Privacy and Sharing

We share complete notices and counter notices, including contact details, with the affected party and may share them with service providers assisting with the process. Do not include sensitive information that is not required.
